Choosing the right muffler for your exhaust system can be a very difficult decision. Not only do you need to consider the tone you want, but also how loud the end result will be out the exhaust tip. The ValveSonic muffler from Krakatoa combines the best aspects from a reverse flow muffler and a valved cut-out, therefore giving you the flexibility to run mild or wild.

The ValveSonic muffler primarily functions as a 3 pipe reverse flow (turbo style) muffler when the valve is closed. The internal piping features small perforations which allow the exhaust pulses to be absorbed by the surrounding acoustic packing. The exhaust will then exit from the muffler case and re-join the system just after the valve.
When the valve is in the open position, the exhaust will instead flow straight through - bypassing the muffler all together.

Unlike other valved mufflers on the market which are vacuum operated, requiring a pump and vacuum lines, the ValveSonic mufflers are electronically operated. Being electronic means that there are far less failure points when compared to a vacuum system, such as split hoses, leaking diaphragms or a defective pump.

Due to the small form-factor motor, these mufflers can be fitted into most locations where a conventional style muffler would be installed. Additionally, because these are 304 stainless steel, you are ensured of a long lifespan thanks to the outstanding corrosion resistant properties of 304SS. Installation is also a straightforward as the unit is pre-terminated with a 12V power socket (cigarette lighter) connection. 

Each ValveSonic muffler kit includes all necessary wiring, along with 2 wireless remotes (batteries not included) and electronic signal receiver/controller module.
